I have the coolest new twitter friend!
One more thing on the list as to why I LOVE TWITTER:
A few weeks ago, I posted a tweet about how lucky we were to be in King County, Washington because the library system is SO well funded and all the buildings are beautiful. Little did I know that the library system out here was on twitter! I received a reply from @kcls telling me that I, "Made them feel pretty." I've followed them asap and have been watching what they're tweeting out to the world. I've seen everything from the top borrowed books to new technologies to tips on how the library site can help you to a list of the book clubs and the books that they're reading from all over the county! Library usage goes up during a downward economy, so this is their time on the mainstage and I can see that they're really trying to make the best use of it!
If you're in King County, follow @kcls - they're just too cool!
As to translative application of the process for property management, remember my post about growing your resident groups? Twitter can be an excellent way to let people know what resident groups are meeting that week, what they're reading/making/baking/talking about, and a good way to engage your residents to join in! Using a combination of twitter and meetup.com to organize your resident functions can also turn your retention method in to a marketing method by bringing in people from the community. One meeting, double the benefits!

I always love your ideas! There is so much opportunity with technology today, all it takes is a little imagination and desire!
